Mother of 4 incredible children and 11 grandchildren. Graduated with my BFA 2005 from Thompson Rivers University, Diploma Interior Design, ICCS, Montreal. One of the founding members of Arnica Artist Run Centre founded in 2003, Past Vice President/Board/Fundraising, 2003 -2014. Past President/Director of the Kamloops Printmakers Society. Worked at the Kamloops Art Gallery for 7 years Tours and Art Workshops for young students and adults with disabilities, Community Programs Coordinator, headed up Yarn Bombing for the BC Seniors Games Aug 2013. Created children’s art workshops for the City of Kamloops, Kamloops Museum, from time to time. Open from 10 am to 4pm Tues to Saturday. Art and school became a life line for me after a life altering event. Multi Media Artist, sculpture, painting, printmaking and pottery. Intuitively Juxtaposing myself with nature and events that affect me. Usually searching for new methods for my art. Love gathering earth pigments creating crayons and paints for my screenprinting. One must never lose sight of the incredible gift of art, the only thing no one can take away and no mistakes. Art is a feeling and an incredible healer to begin that journey of recovery or an expression of oneself. I have been in group and solo exhibitions in Kamloops, Williams Lake, Revelstoke, Toronto, Saskatoon, Corvallis and Great Britain and shortly Spain with the Kamloops Printmakers. I was fortunate enough to have worked with pigment artist Symeon Vandonkelaar from Conestoga, Ontario during a Collaborative exhibition “Connecting the Dots” local artists pared up with international Trans Art Collective artists, thanks to organizers Arnica and Tricia Sellmer. Symeon and I worked together on a children’s workshop “Crayons and Ice Cream”,using earth,pigments, plants and bugs.
